RAMLEELA ACTRESS DEEPIKA PADUKONE CHOOSES SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI'S BAJIRAO MASTANI OVER KARAN JOHAR'S SHUDDHI.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE
Deepika Padukone has chosen Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani over Karan Johar’s Shuddhi. Just when we thought that Karan Johar should finally be relieved at having finalised his actors, we now hear that the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani babe has chosen her Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela director’s ambitious project over Karan’s much awaited Shuddhi. So, was Ranveer Singh responsible for Miss Padukone’s latest move? Certainly looks like the lovebirds chose a film that would help them spend more time together.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar were to clash at the box office in 2015 December, while Sanjay has finally found the lead actors for his historical love story in his Ram-Leela actors, Karan Johar is yet to find his lead actors. Both the movies went through their casting issues, while Bhansali had originally planned the movie with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it went kaput after the former lovers parted ways. Rani Mukerji was to replace Ashwariya in this project and then the movie hit a roadblock. Reports also suggested that Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were to play the lead roles when Bhansali thought of reviving his dream film, but looks like Ranveer-Deepika were destined to come together for this film.
Karan’s Shuddhi too went through ups and downs. After being delayed for long, Hrithik Roshan walked out citing health and date issues, Kareena was informed well in advance so she too claimed to have opted out. Deepika was the frontrunner for this role and Shahrukh, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh‘s names were being tossed to step into Hrithik Roshan’s shoes. However, with Deepika now having chosen Bajirao Mastani opposite co-star Ranveer, Karan is left in a lurch.
Will Karan now cast Dippy’s arch rival to Katrina Kaif alongside her ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor to even out with Miss Padukone? Well, let’s wait and watch the action and drama around Shuddhi off screen, while we still await it to be readied for onscreen.
